With extensive clinical medicine and sports medicine knowledge spanning more than 40 years, the Brain & Cognition Clinic’s team derive from the close interaction and communication with its sister organisation, Perth Integrated Health.
The Brain & Cognition Clinic has its roots with its Founder / Mentor Ian Wee who has been in the clinical and sports medicine field spanning decades. Though he is now officially retired from his clinical engagements, Ian still leads the team by way of the innovation and the organisational development in his role as its CEO.
From his fundamental medical roots in Stroke Rehabilitation to his thesis in Cognition Levels in Schizophrenia, Ian has crafted his professional career on the path of neuro rehabilitation which has seen countless patients under his care. This spans now up to three generations that call his clinics their preferred practitioner location.
The journey which has extended in the past twenty five years in performance enhancement has seen Ian’s role in Sports Medicine, including 10 years at the leadership helm with its peak body as well as mentoring of sports medicine-based students in various disciplinary fields.
Ian’s achievements also sees him previously in Cycling and Triathlon where he maintains an international medical classifier for Cycling Australia and the Australian Paralympics Committee as well as sports medicine directorships in major international, national and state based sporting programs.
Nick graduated in Medicine from The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1996. He completed his Dual Specialist training in Psychiatry and Older Adult Psychiatry in 2007, with further qualifications in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (TCD) and Forensic & Legal Medicine (UK). His career has spanned roles in General Adult Psychiatry, Older Adult Psychiatry, Private Practice, and Learning Disability Psychiatry, with a particular focus on Biomarkers of Mental Illness.
In 2014, Dr. Nick relocated to rural Victoria, taking on a role in Older Adult & Consultation Liaison Psychiatry while also contributing as a Clinical Lecturer at Monash University. By 2017, he became the Clinical Lead for Older Adult Psychiatry in Bunbury, Western Australia, and was appointed Associate Professor at Edith Cowan University, collaborating with Alzheimer’s Research Australia’s Professor Ralph Martins’ research group.
Nick is currently preparing a PhD proposal on the effects of exercise modalities on cognitive function as part of the AU-Arrow Study within the World Wide FINGERS initiative. His academic credentials also include Fellowships in Integrative Psychiatry and Nutritional Psychiatry from the Integrative Psychiatry Institute/University of Colorado.
With over 26 years of experience, Dr. Nick’s research and clinical work have centered around the impact of genetic, physical, and metabolic issues on brain health, aiming to mitigate mental illness and cognitive decline through physical and metabolic optimization. He is eager to apply this knowledge at Perth Integrated Health.
Outside of work, Nick is an avid mountain biker, skier, yoga practitioner, and kayaker. He enjoys cooking and plays the Irish Uilleann Pipes.
Pam is a graduate of the University of Western Australia School of Medicine with a background of over 40 years in practice including 27 years in General Practice, 4 years teaching UWA medical students, and, most recently, over 5 years working at Perth Integrated Health.
She has a broad range of clinical experience with an ongoing interest in all aspects of preventative medicine, as well as general health and well-being across the lifespan.
Pam is an advocate for the equitable and evidence-based practice of all fields of medicine and for an optimistic attitude to optimising potential health outcomes for all.
Gabriel, an Honours graduate in Exercise, Sports, and Rehabilitation Sciences, has specialised in enhancing high performance of both novice and elite individuals. With published research to his name, Gabriel continues to explore cutting-edge methodologies for optimising human performance through a holistic approach to health.
A strong advocate for the integration of mind, body, and gut health, Gabriel is particularly interested in the role of nutrition, mental clarity, and functional movement in fostering peak performance. His approach is deeply informed by the latest scientific advancements in neurocognitive training, exercise physiology, and gut microbiome research, which he applies in both personal and professional practice.
In addition to his academic and professional achievements, Gabriel has played football at the National Premier League level, bringing a practical understanding of high-performance athletics to his work. His experience as a competitive athlete provides him with first-hand insight into the physical and mental demands of elite sports, further driving his passion for sports science and rehabilitation.
King Munn is an Exercise Physiologist who completed his Master degree at Curtin university in 2021. His experience varies from working with club, state, and Olympic level athletes at the youth and senior levels. In addition, he provided rehabilitative exercise programmes for individuals living with chronic illnesses and lastly, developed ergonomic services in a corporate environment. He often volunteers his time coaching volleyball with individuals living with disabilities as part of Volleyball Western Australia’s effort to develop a team and spread awareness for the 2032 Paralympic Games in Australia.
His interest in neuromuscular rehabilitation peaked when he began working with athletes and with elderly individuals living with Parkinsons disease. Through his experience, he was able to curate a toolbox of exercises which can be implemented with patient safety, engagement, and purpose in mind.

King Munn enjoys discussing the application of exercise and anatomy in a uniformed service context. With a background in track and field, cross country running, touch rugby, Olympic weightlifting, and volleyball, King Munn brings with him a host of lived experience that couples well with his skillset as an Exercise Physiologist.
Iain Ó Nuanáin is an Irish-born Sports Therapist who joined PIH in late 2024 after relocating to Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports Therapy from Portobello Institute in Dublin and brings a diverse and hands-on background in athletic performance, rehabilitation, and injury management.
Iain has worked extensively with hundreds of individuals on their fitness, mobility, injury prevention, and rehabilitation goals. His experience spans both individual and team settings, having served as a Sports Therapist for multiple Gaelic football, hurling, soccer, and rugby union teams in Ireland. He also worked closely with County-level Gaelic football squads, supporting players through high-performance programs and injury recovery protocols.
Now based in Australia, Iain continues to apply his expertise as part of a local club-level Australian Rules Football team, covering both training sessions and weekend matches. His practical experience in managing sports injuries across a range of codes gives him a well-rounded understanding of athlete care and performance demands.
In addition to his degree, Iain is a qualified Personal Trainer, Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Nutrition Coach. This combination of clinical and performance-based knowledge allows him to take a holistic, evidence-driven approach to therapy and rehabilitation.
A lifelong athlete and sports enthusiast, Iain has played Gaelic football for most of his life and is now enjoying the challenge of learning Aussie Rules. His passion for movement, recovery, and human performance is at the heart of his work with clients at Perth Integrated Health.
Jennifer Ee is a highly respected literacy and mathematics specialist based in Perth, Western Australia. She is the founder of LALI Services (Language & Literacy Intervention Service), a tutoring practice dedicated to supporting neurodivergent children, including those with dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and other specific learning disorders.
With a Bachelor of Education in Primary Teaching, along a diplomas in Intercultural Studies, Jennifer brings both academic expertise and personal insight to her work. As a parent of a child with autism, ADHD, auditory processing disorder, and language delay, she deeply understands the challenges families face and is committed to providing compassionate, effective support.
Jennifer's approach involves using high-quality diagnostic tools to assess each student's needs, followed by tailored one-on-one interventions that focus on phonics, reading fluency, comprehension, written expression, and mathematics. She employs evidence-based programs like Sounds-Write phonics to deliver structured and engaging lessons.

Tony has been a director and part of RockTape Australia’s ownership group since 2010. He is primarily responsible for coordinating education at RockTape.
Tony first became involved in the health industry after breaking his leg for a second time playing Australian Rules football as a teenager. He undertook a VFL Sports Trainers course in 1989 to stay involved with the club. He has provided RockTape taping services at sporting events and expos around Australia for 14 years and conducted many education sessions at clinics and universities around Australia.
Tony’s love for challenges is best exemplified by his remarkable athletic achievements. He has conquered 29 marathons, 6 ultramarathons, and 2 Ironman triathlons. One of his most memorable feats was the 2021 Herdy’s Last Man Standing event, where he ran an astounding 167km. Now, in his ‘retirement’ from endurance events, he strives to find the perfect balance between health and wellbeing.
Tony suffered a subarachnoid haemorrhage in October 2024 while doing a gym workout. The brain bleed resulted in a week in the neuro ward at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. Upon discharge, he found that conducting a 5-minute conversation or spending 5 minutes responding to emails was exhausting. Highlighting to him the importance of the brain to the body's ability to function. Tony has been developing better habits around improved brain health – sleep, nutrition, exercise, spending more time relaxing in nature and stimulating the brain through learning to dance country swing.
The opportunity to become involved in the Brain and Cognition Function Clinic provides Tony with a chance to objectively assess his brain health and undertake a personalised program to train his brain focusing on memory and concentration. He can also share his experiences of how strengthening muscles and mobilising joints is essential but developing optimal brain health after an injury or to enhance performance is critical to optimise everything we do in both sport and day-to-day life.
